Combination walk

Your group walk can be combined with a visit to:
– Saint John’s Cathedral and/or
– The historical Town Hall on the Market Place and/or
– The 1562 Model of Gouda at Museum Gouda

Booking process
During the online booking process you can opt for an extra visit to one of these historical buildings. If you choose for this option, we will make the arrangements and our guide will provide the professional explanations inside the buildings.
After you finalized your booking, you will automatically receive the (provisional) confirmation.  Our coordinator will then arrange the visits with the chosen locations. If locations are not available, our coordinator will inform you. Subsequently, our coordinator will confirm the definite status of your reservation, on which you can also consult the name and cell phone number of the guide appointed to you.

Duration of the walk
An extension of your walk including one extra visit usually fits into our standard 1,5 hour walking tour. In this case you will obviously see less of the town itself. It is possible to prolong the walk to 2 hours. Please indicate this during the booking process in the ‘Customer correspondence’ box.
If you wish to choose for more than one extra visit, the walk will need to be extended to 2 hours and the price will be adjusted accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE:  only our coordinator can prolong the walk to 2 hours and also has to settle arrangements with the locations before it can be confirmed. Preferably settle your payment after you have received the final confirmation including the name of the guide.

Payment
You will pay the walk of 1,5 or 2 hours directly to the Goudse Gidsen Gilde. Payment details are shown on the confirmation.
Entrance fees for extra visits are not settled with the Goudse Gidsen Gilde, but directly at the desks of the locations. Please prepare these payments before we enter the building, to avoid unnecessary loss of time.

Visit Town Hall
This is a guided tour of approx. 20 minutes. The visit to our Town Hall has to be booked in advance and is always subject to availability. The Town Hall is a popular place for wedding ceremonies. A wedding ceremony, even if booked at a later stage, will allways precede. The entrance fee is € 2,50 p.p. (in 2022) and has to be paid in cash directly on the spot. You can also pay for your visit to the Town Hall at the counter of the Tourist Office ( Waag, Market Square) in cash or by card.  Due to wedding ceremonies, visits on Friday are most of the time not possible.

Visit Saint John’s Cathedral
This is a short tour of max. 30 minuten. The visit has to be arranged in advance with the location. The entrance fee of € 8,50 p.p. (2022) has to be paid on the spot at the counter in cash or by card. Entrance for holders of the Dutch Museumkaart is free of charge.
It is not possible to visit Saint John’s Cathedral on Sundays.

From April until October 2022 there will be a special exhibition in the south aisle of the church.  In this period you cannot view the stained glass windows in this aisle from nearby.  If you like to visit both the stained glass windows and the exhibition
(partly in the church and partly in the Museum that is situated next to the church) you’ll have to pay both entrances.
